		Eoraptor is one of the oldest known dinosaurs. A skeleton of Eoraptor was found in a 230 million year old Triassic formation in Argentina. Have you noticed that the first dinosaurs were small animals? Dinosaurs are reptiles, but unlike other reptiles such as crocodiles, dinosaurs developed legs coming from under their bodies. This means they could stand upright. Theropods also developed hollow bones. Scientists think standing upright with a lightly-weighted skeleton enabled theropods to grow to an enormous size, walk long distances, and, when necessary, run fast. Many scientists believe that these features helped dinosaurs flourish on Earth.
